Looking up the Old Road

The Black and White building at the entrance to the Kings Arms car park is the old bakery of Tommy Jones.

My Grand dad used to work there and I enjoyed many a free cake when I visited :)

It was then a driving school in the late 1960's/ early 70's. Now a print shop (in 2002).

The cafe used to be (in the 1950's and 1960's) Mrs Lock's grocery shop.

I used to be a regular customer there when I lived up the Old Road, and afterwards when we moved to the (brand new) Bannut-tree estate in 1959!
